East Devon Welcomes Olympics 2012
Published on 13 Jul 05
Honiton is hoping that plans for a new sports complex in the town could be a step closer with the news that London is to host the Olympic Games in 2012.
At the Market and Coastal Town Initiative launch in January, Honiton revealed plans for an atheletes' training camp.
The sports complex could be built under the MCTI and the Olympic news has given plans a huge boost.
East Devon District Council will meet with Bob Buxton, chairman of the steering group for Honiton Market and Coastal Towns' Initiative to look at the proposals.
